Happy 2nd Birthday

Our sweet little princess is now two years old! I can't believe how time has past. We love her more and more every day and could never imagine our lives with out her. She is so full of energy and has the funniest little personality. She loves her big brother and wants to do EVERYthing he does. She is so silly, she wants to drink coffee (it is really just chocolate milk that we stick in the microwave for a few second) All of her little words crack us up, she is very talkitive. Everytime she gets in the car she wants to listen to Baby, Baby (Justin Bieber)We love you sweet princess.

Tucker has had a great spring break, spending most of it with his Blah and Papa. They took him to Fort Worth to a car show spent the night and are playing at the stockyards today. He is having a blast! Tomorrow I will running my first and maybe last half marathon. I am really nervous and a little excited. My goal is to finish, I NEVER thought I would be able to run this far. I have also been working hard this week on my National Boards. I only have 1 entry left to complete and mailed off by the 31st of this month.

Just Clowning Around

We finally got to celebrate Tucker's 7th birthday today. This year he chose a monster theme. At first I wasn't sure that it would be very cute but, I LOVED it. My mom made the cutest monster cupcakes, Tucker and I made some monster decorations and we used lots of bright primary colors. He also really wanted a clown for some entertainment. So I found one online that we had seen a party before. Her name is Sweet-Tart and she is great! Here is her website http://www.texomaparties.com/ She did some awesome face painting, a little magic show and made Tucker a really cool balloon parrott. We ran out of time for all of the kiddos to get a ballon. We all had an absolute blast!! I am so thankful for all the wonderful family and friends that we have in our lives. My mom spent all day helping me clean and decorate for today's festivities. Then she stayed and helped clean up too. Not to mention that she had stayed up until 1:30 am decorating the cupcakes. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful mom that loves me and my family to pieces. Even with all the yucky weather so many people took the time to show Tucker how important he is to them by coming to celebrate with us. Seven years ago I could have never imagined all the blessings God had in store for my life. I am so blessed to have Tucker as my son. He has taught me so much about life and what is really important. He has taught me love unconditional. Tucker has such a sweet heart and loves life! I am so excited to continue to love him and watch him grow. I know God has great things ahead for my little love bug. Here are a few pictures from today!

It has been a while

Well a LOT has changed since my last post. Leah is almost two and Tucker just turned seven. They are both full of energy and are keeping Jake and I very busy. Tucker is playing basketball right now. Last week he had the Flu on his birthday so we had to cancel and reschedule for this weekend. We have been out of school since Tuesday because of snow and ice. We are still having the party though and we just may go sledding as the party activity if the clown I hired is unable to make it.Tucker is reading now. He is not so sure if he likes it or not. He says that he would rather just work on cars. I have told him you still have to learn to read! I also think that he is the best lego builder ever. He loves them and could build all day long. He is also in his first years of cub scouts and he is loving it! I am so proud of the young man he is and is becoming. Leah is learning and changing so much every day. She loves Minnie and Mickey Mouse. If it has mouse on it she has to have it. Her best friend is her cousin Maddie. Those girls are so funny together. Their conversations crack me up. Blah and PaPa are her favorite people, she always wants to go to their house or in Blah's car. She likes to call her Meems and Pop on the phone. Her favorite toys are baby dolls and an IPhone. She is very dramatic, I know I will be in trouble in about 10 years. Her sweet smile can always make everything instantly okay.

We have been snowed in for FOUR days. We finally went out today and went sledding in our neighborhood. We had a blast with some great friends!

Can't think of a good title!

So here is the Picture of Tucker on his first day of kindergarten! He is doing great and with a little encouragement making lots of new friends. He has a little tendency to only play with one person ALL the time! I just want him the be able to play with lots of kids.

Isn't he adorable and handsome! Even with his goofy smile.He wasn't sure that he was ready to go back to school!

We have been attending several local football games. We mostly go to Dickson since that is where most of the youth from church go. They are all either on the football team, cheering or in the band. But last night Lone Grove played Plainview so we had to go. I must admit it was very strange walking in on the visitors side of the plainview football field wearing a Lone Grove jacket and carrying my little Lone Grove cheerleader. We are longhorns now but deep down inside I will always be an indian. Speaking of that, three of the first grade teacher graduated from Plainview (Me, Kari and Jen) and three graduated from Lone Grove. This being Plainviews centenial they made this cute shirts that have an indian on the front and the back says... everything I need to know I learned at Plainview. They are so cute too. So the three indians couldn't resist a cute t shirt and a little practical joke. We wore our Plainview shirts to school yesterday (yes, we did but we changed into our LG shirts later). It was so funny to see the kids faces and our principals. She even made us all certificates that name us a "work in progress". It was a lot of fun and we sure needed that after being stuck inside for a whole week with no recess. AGGHHH. These are some pics from both games!

Happy 1/2 birthday!

So it has really been forever since I have blogged but with a 5 year old and a 6 month old(today) time to play on the computer rarely comes around!

My precious baby girl turned 6 months today. Time has really flown, I knew it would but it still shocks me. Leah's little personality is starting to shine more and more each day. She loves her mommy, daddy and brother. Her favorite thing to say is dadada I tell her mamama all the time and she just smiles her big toothless grin and laughs. I love her more and more each day if that is possible. She hasn't quite mastered the crawling but she rocks back and forth a lot and starts to move one leg forward. I know before long she will be on the go. Leah is a great shopper! YES!!! I imagine us shopping together for many many years to come. Leah is such an amazing beautiful blessing and I am so honored to be able to share my life with her. Here are some of her pictures we had taken today.

Tucker started Kindergarten three weeks ago. I can believe it. He is most definetly the cutest boy in Lone Grove Elementary. He gets out of class 15 minutes before we do and he walks to my room each afternoon all by himself. It is the perfect way to end a LONG day with 20 first graders! He always greets my with a hug, which I love! He is getting so much smarter. The other night I was working with him on some sight words and Leah kept trying to grab his paper, in the sweetest most sincere voice he said, "Leah please stop grabbing my paper, Mommy is trying to teach me to read." I almost started crying right then. I am so proud of the sweet, loving, caring boy he is and am also blessed he have him as my son. I will post his first day of school pic soon!

So yes back to school for me. I had been off for about 5 months and was not looking forward to leaving Leah at the babysitters. Even though I know she is loved and taken care of there. I love watching her grow and learn all her new tricks. However, the pay check was calling and the school bell was ringing. I do have a very good class this year. I think we are going to have a lot of fun and I am going to be able to teach them lots of new exciting things! (including how to read) That is a strenous task but at the end of the year is so rewarding to have them all asking if they can read me a story. I have some really funny and sweet personalities this year.

It's been a while

I have been a horrible blogger. A lot has been going on since the last time I updated this thing. Well, some of you know that Leah was not a very happy little baby girl. She would cry ALL the time and nothing seemed to calm or sooth her completely. She has been to the Dr. several time and we have tried different things. We have finally got that girl comfortable. About four weeks ago I took her in because she was spitting up all the time and seemed to be crying from pain. She went to have an upper GI at the hospital and all was good but, she has reflux. I was nervous to start her on medicine so young but after a month of no sleep and a crying baby we decided to give it a try. Two different medicines and about 2 1/2 weeks later she was better but still in pain and spitting up. Last Sunday our Dr (who goes to church with us and is a friend) called me after church and said I think that Leah is lactose intolerant, why don't you try giving her formula (soy) and see if she sleeps any better and spits up less. I was bummed about trying formula after trying so hard to nurse her (mastitis twice.) She slept like 5 hours straight. We went in to the office on Monday morning and had some blood work and x-rays done to make sure she didn't have any infections, and started her on lactose-free, formula. This past week Leah has been a different child. Not much spitting up and has been much more comfortable. Me on the other had not so comfortable. The drying up process of milk is not so fun. So it has been bitter sweet, I am SO glad that Leah is feeling better but sad that I had to stop nursing her. It was our special time

Tucker has been great and having fun at school. We all went to his Easter party/hunt at school and had a blast. I will be signing him up for T-ball this afternoon and he is really excited about that. A couple of projects of his at home are that we are currently growing five butterflies, they should be emerging in a few days and hopefully I will get some pictures of him with them before we have to let them go. We are also growing cactus, he planted the seeds and placed it in the window of the kitchen and they are growing! He also has a 57 chevy truck at my parents that he thinks he is going to make into a hot rod. (That is his passion right now) He and my dad work on it and Tucker has a blast. He can start it up all by himself now (thank goodness it has 4 flat tires) He also loves to go fishing and caught several really BIG fish last week with my dad.
