Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Yesterday was a great St. Patrick's day! The weather was beautiful and I was home with my two amazing kids! Leah and I sat on the back porch and watch Tucker play his sand box! Tucker held Leah for the first time yesterday, ever time I ask him if he wants to hold her he says no. Well I didn't give him a choice I said," hold her so Mommy can take a quick picture." As soon as I put her in his arms you could see the love and pride all over his face, after the picture was taken he said I still want to hold her. Here is one of the cute pictures I got of them!

A Family of Four

Our beautiful little princess came to join our family finally. She is amazing and beautiful. I just look at her and am amazed at how much God has blessed our family. I am so thankful to him for all he has given us. Leah Charlene Long entered this world on Thursday at 4:19 P.M. she weighed 8lbs 4oz and measured 19.9 inches long. Tucker is so proud and protective of her already! He is such an amazing little boy with a HUGE heart. He loves his sister already but, the change has been hard on him. He has been great but last night was very hard on him and I. It breaks my heart to know that his whole world is changing, he loves his sister and at the same time he just wants his mommy back. Last night he and I had a little cry session. I held and rocked him for at least ten minutes while he and I both boo hooed. When I asked him why he was crying he said he was sad be he didn't know why. I am trying EXTRA hard to keeep things as normal for him as possible. He means everything to me and I love him so much that I don't want his feelings to be hurt even a little bit. Jake is being an amazing Daddy. He is trying to help do anything he can. If only the dad's were given milk too. Leah is perfect I can watch her and kiss her little face all day long. Here are a few pictures!

Patiently Waiting

My (or Leah's) due date has come and past. Like her big brother she is holding out for who knows what. On Friday I went to the Dr to be monitored , Leah was sleeping apparently and that is not was the Dr wanted her to be doing. After drinking a HUGE glass of water, two cans of apple juice and one potty break later, we were allowed to head home. When the Dr. checked me there had been no changes fome the previouse two visits (dialated to 1.5 and 50% effaced). They had me scheduled to be induced tomorrow March 2 but I decided I wanted to give my body a little more time to maybe progress on its own. So I head back to the Dr. tomorrow for anothe stress test and to be checked again. They will let me know whether I need to come in Wed evening for something to soften my cervix the rest of the way or Thursday morning to start pitocin. All that is if she doesn't come on her own by then. At least by Thursday evening we should be holding Little Miss Leah in our arms! I am SO ready for her to be here!
