Happy St. Patrick's Day!


Yesterday was a great St. Patrick's day! The weather was beautiful and I was home with my two amazing kids! Leah and I sat on the back porch and watch Tucker play his sand box! Tucker held Leah for the first time yesterday, ever time I ask him if he wants to hold her he says no. Well I didn't give him a choice I said," hold her so Mommy can take a quick picture." As soon as I put her in his arms you could see the love and pride all over his face, after the picture was taken he said I still want to hold her. Here is one of the cute pictures I got of them!

A Family of Four


Our beautiful little princess came to join our family finally. She is amazing and beautiful. I just look at her and am amazed at how much God has blessed our family. I am so thankful to him for all he has given us. Leah Charlene Long entered this world on Thursday at 4:19 P.M. she weighed 8lbs 4oz and measured 19.9 inches long. Tucker is so proud and protective of her already! He is such an amazing little boy with a HUGE heart. He loves his sister already but, the change has been hard on him. He has been great but last night was very hard on him and I. It breaks my heart to know that his whole world is changing, he loves his sister and at the same time he just wants his mommy back. Last night he and I had a little cry session. I held and rocked him for at least ten minutes while he and I both boo hooed. When I asked him why he was crying he said he was sad be he didn't know why. I am trying EXTRA hard to keeep things as normal for him as possible. He means everything to me and I love him so much that I don't want his feelings to be hurt even a little bit. Jake is being an amazing Daddy. He is trying to help do anything he can. If only the dad's were given milk too. Leah is perfect I can watch her and kiss her little face all day long. Here are a few pictures!

Patiently Waiting

My (or Leah's) due date has come and past. Like her big brother she is holding out for who knows what. On Friday I went to the Dr to be monitored , Leah was sleeping apparently and that is not was the Dr wanted her to be doing. After drinking a HUGE glass of water, two cans of apple juice and one potty break later, we were allowed to head home. When the Dr. checked me there had been no changes fome the previouse two visits (dialated to 1.5 and 50% effaced). They had me scheduled to be induced tomorrow March 2 but I decided I wanted to give my body a little more time to maybe progress on its own. So I head back to the Dr. tomorrow for anothe stress test and to be checked again. They will let me know whether I need to come in Wed evening for something to soften my cervix the rest of the way or Thursday morning to start pitocin. All that is if she doesn't come on her own by then. At least by Thursday evening we should be holding Little Miss Leah in our arms! I am SO ready for her to be here!

10,9,8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1

The count down is on. I only have 10 days until Leah's due date. Last Friday when I went to the Dr. I was dilated to a 1.5 and 40-50% effaced. They asked if I wanted to schedule and induction for Wednesday (yes in only 2 days) but I opted to wait it out. So, we are playing a little waiting game. I am very anxious for her to be here and meet my little princess and expierence all the love and joy she will add to our lives. On the other hand I am so savoring these last day we have with Tucker as an only child, just the three of us. I am hoping that she won't come until later next week or the next so I can let Tucker play hookie and him and I have a Tucker/Mommy day, which always requires going to McDonalds for at least a hour and a half. I go to the Dr. again this Friday and we will see what they say!

Turning 5

Tomorrow is Tucker's 5th birthday party! I am so excited for him. It is so hard to believe that five years have already past. It seems just like yesterday I was pregnant with him and now five years later I am about to have a baby girl. Tucker is the most amazing blessing God has given us. I love him with all my heart and can't imagine a day without him. He has grown up so fast. He is learning new things in preschool, making new friends, and starting to be a little funny guy. He loves to make people laugh with his silly jokes and goofy dances. I am so proud of the wonderful little boy he is and am in awe at what a big boy he is becoming. Time Flies.

Update

I will post some pictures of Tucker and our wonderful Christmas soon. He had a great time and as usual got a ton of toys that I have to find a spot for! The Joy on his face was so worth it though. This is just a quick update on Leah. I went to the Dr. today and she is doing good. Her heart beat was 138 then she started moving and it went up a little. (She is very active). I am measuring 34 weeks which they said was fine( I am only 32 weeks). I don't have too much swelling but I am so tired all the time. Tucker went to the Dr. with us today and was excited to hear her heart beating. That is about all there was today. I don't want her to get here early but I feel like a Stuffed whale on a beach! So bring on the end of Feburary I am ready!

Merry Christmas

With CHRISTmas fast approaching I was reminded at church Sunday morning what a precious gift God has given us. Our pastor made this statement "I"(insert name) am the reason for the season. Because of me God sent his son Jesus to live on this earth and die a horrifying death because of me. He loves us all so much that he was willing to give the ulitmate gift! I am so thankful to have been able to recieve his gift! We have also been a busy family this November and December. Tucker ran in the Chigger Chase. He ran 1/4 of a mile and didn't stop he tripped one time because he was looking for Jake but got right back up and finished the race. I am so proud of him he is an amazing little boy and I love him more and more each day. He was most excited about getting another medal to hang in his room. He has also been sick some. Starting PreK this year I think that he has caught everything. He is feeling better now and is excited for Santa to come. His Class lead the celebration assembly this month and he was in charge of leading the flag salutes (U.S. and Oklahoma) He did a great job and remembered all his lines. They also sang a couple of cute songs. Then, last week he had his Christmas party in his classroom he had a good time with his friends. Blah came with him to his party and helped out, Tucker thought that this was really cool. They had a visitor "Santa" and when he left Tucker turned around to his friends and said, "that was not the real Santa, he was too Skinny." We are excited for he reaction on Christmas morning and are still awaiting our little Leah. She should be here in Feburary. Her and I are both growing and she likes to keep her feet in my ribs making it hard to breath. Tucker is already so sweet to her. He talks to her everyday and tells her that he loves her and some other silly things every once and a while. I hope everybody has a Merry Christmas! There will be another update after the end of this week I'm sure!
