Merry Christmas

With CHRISTmas fast approaching I was reminded at church Sunday morning what a precious gift God has given us. Our pastor made this statement "I"(insert name) am the reason for the season. Because of me God sent his son Jesus to live on this earth and die a horrifying death because of me. He loves us all so much that he was willing to give the ulitmate gift! I am so thankful to have been able to recieve his gift! We have also been a busy family this November and December. Tucker ran in the Chigger Chase. He ran 1/4 of a mile and didn't stop he tripped one time because he was looking for Jake but got right back up and finished the race. I am so proud of him he is an amazing little boy and I love him more and more each day. He was most excited about getting another medal to hang in his room. He has also been sick some. Starting PreK this year I think that he has caught everything. He is feeling better now and is excited for Santa to come. His Class lead the celebration assembly this month and he was in charge of leading the flag salutes (U.S. and Oklahoma) He did a great job and remembered all his lines. They also sang a couple of cute songs. Then, last week he had his Christmas party in his classroom he had a good time with his friends. Blah came with him to his party and helped out, Tucker thought that this was really cool. They had a visitor "Santa" and when he left Tucker turned around to his friends and said, "that was not the real Santa, he was too Skinny." We are excited for he reaction on Christmas morning and are still awaiting our little Leah. She should be here in Feburary. Her and I are both growing and she likes to keep her feet in my ribs making it hard to breath. Tucker is already so sweet to her. He talks to her everyday and tells her that he loves her and some other silly things every once and a while. I hope everybody has a Merry Christmas! There will be another update after the end of this week I'm sure!

Fall Time

My mom, Tucker and I went to Branson over fall break here are a few pics of our fun time there!

World's Largest McDonalds!

Silver Dollar City!

On the Ducks with Blah! He had a blast!

We also carved pumpkins at my mom and dad's house and went to the pumpkin patch with my brother, sister-in-law and niece Maddie! Tucker had a blast. We also carved pumpkins at home. He was really into carving pumpkins this year and kept wanting to do more! For halloween he dressed up as a clown. I was busy at the fall festival trying to make sure everything was running smoothly so I didn't get very many ics of him there :(. He had fun mostly he just ran around and played. He lost his sack like two times but, at least we didn't have to bring home a ton of candy! Our family has been so blessed to have such a wonderful life together and I thank God for all of them each day!

Oh and I have been tagged. ok, so here are the rules: I have to tell 7 random things about myself and then tag 7 friends. ( I don't even think I have seven friends on here!)

1. I do NOT want to have belly pics or any type of pics taken while I am pregnant! I think that they are cute of other people but not of myself gross!

2. I like shopping for Tucker and Leah's clothes much more than my own now!

3. Summer is my favorite season because you can go swimming and I HATE being cold.

4. January 29, 2004 my most favorite day of the year. Tucker's birthday and this year he will be 5. I can't hardly believe it. It has gone by way to fast and 5 seems so old! He will always be my baby boy.

5. February 26, 2009 Leah's due date.

6. 11. the number of days until my bestest friend Brandi and her adorably little boy Jett come to visit! I miss them when they are gone

7. I LOVE cherry limeaids from the Sonic. I think that I could drink one every single day of the year.

So now I have to pick seven people well I can only think of Kisha, Lar (who tagged me in the first place haha) Jessica, Beka, Heather and whoever else might want to do this!!!!

Leah Charlene Long

Well I have been a horrible blogger lately. There are a lot of things going on but I just haven't had time to write about it. So Jake and I finally decided on a name for our little baby girl. I couldn't decide because I didn't want a popular name nor a strange name. Since I was going to the Affair of the Heart this past Saturday I told Jake we had to decide on Friday night. I did this because I was expecting to find all sorts of cute decorations, blankets, onsies, bags, etc... that could be personalized. So we decided on LEAH CHARLENE LONG . Charlene is my grandmother's and my middle name. So at the show I was a little disappointed cause I only found one picture to hang in her room. Yesterday I ordered her crib and the matching dresser so hopefullt they will be here by the end of the week. As for Tucker he is being such a sweet boy about having a sister. He will rub my tummy and say I love you sister or ask her silly questions. Oh and he is still doing good in soccer, he continues to score goals each week!!! Here is Leah's bed and dresser. The room is not finished I still have a lot to do. I love the bedding my mom is making. She hasn't finished the bumper pads, pillows or curtains yet but we still have 3 months. She is so talented.

Score 4

Ok this is going to be really short. As some may know Tucker has not been very gifted in the athletics department yet. He is too polite and not aggressive at all. He says that he doesn't want to kick the ball away from someone else when it is their turn. So Tuesday night he has a game and before we get out of the car he tells us that he doesn't want to play. We tell him that he signed up and is a part fo a team and they are counting on him to play. So he proceeds to tell me that "next time Iask him what he wants me to sign him up for.... sign him up for nothing." I didn't expect it to be a very good game. However, he surprised us all be scoring not one, not two but Four yes count them four goals in the game! Once he scored the first one the game was on and thats all it took. He was so excited that now he loves soccer. We have another game in the morning though so we will see if he still loves it tomorrrow. Ok sorry I had to brag a little bit, I am just a pround mommy!

It's A Girl!!

Yesterday afternoon Jake, Tucker and I went to have an ultrasound to find out if we are having a boy or a girl. Tucker has been wanting a little brother so he didn't know why we were even there since he said it was a boy. The lady told him that he was going to have a baby sister and I think he was in a little shock, he just said, "ugh" Then as she showed him her head and back and feet and hands he became more and more excited! I am so blessed to have Tucker my "baby boy" and now a baby girl to buy bows, dolls and purses for! In pink of course!

Tucker's first soccer game!

Well today was Tucker's first soccer game. We were all really excited. Since he didn't do so well at t-ball we thought maybe he would actually pay attention this time. Just like T-ball he does great at home and at practice. He runs and kicks the ball tries to score goals and everything. This morning however when it comes to game time... he just stands there. Ocassionally he will run after the ball then barely kicks it. He is afarid to kick it away from the other kids and said he would rather just watch. Being the competive person that I am, this drove me nuts once again. I don't understand why he just stands there. At least he looked cute. His shirt, shorts and socks the team ordered are all about 4 sizes too large and he had a hard time keeping his shorts up when he did make those few strides. We will keep practicing and maybe next week will be better.

A nice evening walk

After dinner tonight Jake, Tucker and I decided to go on a walk. Of course we took Molly and Scout! The weather was so nice out that we ended up walking for over an hour, just talking to Tucker and enjoying our time together. We found a new trial and Tucker had BIG plans for a hay ride. A brightly colored hot air balloon flew over our house quite low this evening too, which was a first for Tucker. He saw, "the fire and everything." It ended up landing about 300 yards from our house. Tonight was very refreshing spending time with my family and enjoying the beauty that God has created around us. Only about 10 more days until we find out if we will welcome a new baby girl or boy to our family in Feburary.
